This is a great time to find some sand buckets on sale to build this fun game!
Supplies Needed:
One 7-foot pressure treated 2 x 6 board
Six plastic beach sand buckets (various colors). The base of the bucket should be between 5” and 7” in diameter.
24 outdoor screws (1 1/4”)
24 nylon or galvanized washers
Two plastic tent pegs
Directions:
Drill a one inch hole, centered, approximately two inches from each end of the board.
Drill four to six ¼” holes along the rim at the bottom of each bucket. These are for drainage so rain water doesn’t accumulate at the bottom of the bucket.
Place first bucket, centered on the board, with the center of the bucket approximately 10 inches from one end of the board.
Place the next bucket approximately 13 inches (center to center) from the first bucket. Repeat for the other four buckets. Once completed, there should be approximately 10 inches remaining from the center of the last bucket to the other end of the board.
Make adjustments as necessary.
Secure each bucket to the board with four screws and washers.
Number each bucket with a vinyl “peel-and-stick” label.
Secure board to the ground by hammering tent pegs through the holes at each end of the board.
