Description
From the library:
A total solar eclipse is crossing the United States from Texas to Maine on Monday, April 8th. Our little town of Warren will get to see the sun just over 90% covered by the moon! To get ready, we have a week of fun for all ages planned here at the library.*
On Thursday afternoon, join Dr. Marc Kuchner, NASA astrophysicist (www.marckuchner.com), for a kid friendly presentation about solar eclipses and how to safely view them. You will also build your very own pinhole viewer! If you can, please bring a family sized cereal, shoe, or other big, long box for this activity.
For ages 4-10. Registration opens March 21st.
*Solar eclipse viewing glasses are guaranteed for everyone who signs up for one of our Countdown to the 2024 Eclipse Week events.
Who
